The Namaqualand landscape at golden hour

Our story

From our roots, back to yours

A family, a place, a plant

kanna kraal began at home. Our family roots run through Namaqualand and Kannaland, and our people are still there. Kanna — Sceletium tortuosum — has long been part of the South African indigenous botanical tradition of these lands, and it is the plant at the heart of everything we make.

A gentle return to wholeness

We are not interested in dramatic promises. We make modern rituals for real life — small, intentional moments that help you feel more grounded, balanced, clear or unwound. It is less about fixing and more about returning: to steadiness, to presence, to yourself.

Carried forward with care

We are mapping our genealogy and learning continuously, holding this tradition with humility and respect. As our story grows, so will what we can share here — honestly, and only when we can stand behind it.

We speak to our family heritage and to kanna as a South African indigenous botanical tradition. We do not claim formal community membership, endorsement or ownership of this knowledge.
